It uses EPA-exempt 25(b) minimum risk pesticides — products the EPA classifies as posing little to no threat to human health or the environment because of their naturally derived, low-risk active ingredients. These are not your standard chemical treatments.
Because naturally derived products require more frequent application to remain effective, X Green uses a bi-monthly service schedule (every two months) rather than a traditional quarterly rotation.
What does “minimum risk” actually mean?
Under FIFRA Section 25(b), the EPA exempts certain pesticides from standard registration requirements because their ingredients are proven safe. The X Green Program uses only products that meet this standard — prioritizing people, pets, and the environment at every step.
